SLEEPING BEAUTY
Based on Charles Perrault's fairytale "The Sleeping Beauty", and choreographed by Petipa, with score by Tchaikovsky is opened in 1890 at the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg.
Alongside Princess Aurora and Carabosse, characters are also included from Perrault's other stories, Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Bluebeard. There are also White Cat, Belle, Goldilocks, Princess Florine, the Bluebird and then of course there are the fairies...
Candide (Candour), Coulante (Fleur de Farine), Breadcrumb Fairy (Miettes-qui-Tombant), Songbird/Canary Fairy (Canari-qui-chante), Finger Fairy (Violente/Temperament) and the Lilac fairy.
